Water consumption measurement project of agricultural water price comprehensive reform in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province

Project background:

Customer name: Water Conservancy Bureau of Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province            

Project location: Gaoyou            

Project Overview: Calculate the flow of main and branch open canals in the irrigation areas of 10 water conservancy stations in the city.

Challenges:

1. Traditional hydrologic instruments (propeller type flow velocity meter, cup type flow velocity meter, etc.); modern hydrologic instruments (ADCP, UAV, etc.) are large in size, not easy to carry with, and not convenient for field flow measurement and patrol measurement. The portable radar flow meter is compact and convenient, reducing the manual work.            

2. It used to take a lot of time and energy to measure the flow of irregular channels, large sections and other complex situations. Now we can import the section information to the portable radar flow meters, then automatically measure the flow according to the hydrological specifications and generate the flow calculation table.            

3. Traditional flow measurement data recording paper is kept manually, which could be lost or damaged after long time. On contrary, all data of the portable radar flow meters are stored on the computer through the flow measurement software.
