HZ-SVR-24V-100 Fixed Mount Surface Velocity Radar
HZ-SVR-24V-100 Surface Velocity Radar measures the flow velocity of the fluid surface by analyzing the relationship between the Doppler Shift and the relative velocity. HZ-SVR-24V-100 is designed for water conservancy and hydrological monitoring. It can measure the surface velocity of irrigation channels and natural rivers by directly installed above the open channel and rivers. HZ-SVR-24V-100 can form the Radar on-line flow measurement system, which can continuously obtain flow velocity data. As a new method of real-time flow velocity monitoring, it is especially suitable for the complex flow pattern to replace manual work and can truly realize 7 x 24 hours on-line monitoring.

1. Hydrological Flow Monitoring System of Natural River
The on-line flow measurement station of natural river radar consists of radar flow meter, radar velocity meter (surface velocity radar), wireless data transmission module and solar power supply module. Radar flow meter collects real-time water level and velocity of each section, calculates real-time flow of the section according to the three-dimensional hydraulic model, and sends data through wireless module to the server software center. The whole system is powered by solar modules. According to the width of river section and the shape of river bottom, the number of velocity meter can be optimized. The actual situation of the river decides the installation mode to be on the bridge or on vertical poles.

Project Overview
Monitoring the canal flow behind the gate
By monitoring the canal flow before and after the gate, gate opening can be controlled.
Through the long-term monitoring of the flow velocity in the canal, the flow velocity at all levels can be controlled and the flow velocity of water distribution can be reasonably allocated.
Challenges
The water volume in the canal is controlled by the gate. According to different irrigation requirement, the water level varies violently. Traditional contact measuring equipment such as ultrasonic flow meter and ADCP cannot be used.
Higher sensitivity and accuracy are required.
Solution
Customer finally decided to choose HZ-SVR-24v-100 surface velocity radar for real time flow monitoring by install devices on a bridge, and upload the velocity data to the platform.
Installation locations:
Installed above gentle and stable water surface, no backflow and eddy, no obstacle on the water surface within the measurement range.
Avoid drainage outlet, vertical drop, baffle, river bending and other environments.
The center line of the equipment should be consistent with the direction of the water flow, and the center axis of the radar flow meter should be perpendicular to the water surface.
