Solution Overview:

The array radar flow measuring system can monitor the water level, velocity, flow and other data in real time, which can realize remote calling and timing monitoring, and can also make over limit alarm according to the fluctuation amplitude of water level. For the ultra wide section, an array radar system installation solution consists of 1 radar flow meter (host) and N radar flow meters (slave, the number of n is determined by the section conditions) according to the site conditions.

System Architecture:

It is composed of 1 radar flow meter (host), n sets of radar velocity meters (slave), RTU, DTU, and solar power supply system.            

Each radar velocity measuring point on the vertical line use wired communication mode to transmit the surface velocity at the vertical line to the radar host station on this section in real time. The radar host station uses GPRS / GSM mode to communicate with management center station.


In addition to the traditional wired communication connection, the LOT (Internet of things) wireless communication mode can be another choice. With low cost, low power consumption and large network capacity, it is suitable for the short-distance data transmission between the velocity meters (slave) and the flow meter (host). It sends the surface velocities on each vertical line point to the host flow station, without laying communication cables on bridges or riverbed. The host station uses GPRS / GSM communication mode to communicate with management center station.


Functions:

① Data collection and transmission: Automatic collection of water level, flow rate, flow velocity and wind speed

②  Standby communication function: Have standby communication function for telemetry stations that are difficult for maintenance personnel to reach and repair timely, especially for important stations in the system.

③ Protection function: Over-voltage protection to prevent equipment from being damaged in case of lightning stroke. For the unattended telemetry station, it also has the functions of anti-damage and anti-theft.

④  Alarm monitoring function: Water level out of limit alarm, when the water level, flow, etc. exceeds a specified value, it will alarm. When the power supply is insufficient, the telemetry station will give an alarm when the power supply capacity is lower than the set threshold value.
